Hey guys, I just signed up, I can't wait to get the knowledge from some of you who have been doing this for awhile. I and new to knife making and am just starting and thinking of what kind of gear I'll need to start making some knifes. I have collected knives since I was young and now have been considering making my own.
I live about a half hour outside of Halifax on the south shore and would like to meet up with some local knifemakers to check out there set up and get some tips and tricks for just starting out.

    Welcome to here .
Lots of good guys around here. You don’t need a lot of tools to make a knife some guys do some real nice work just with a file.
But if your going to get really into it WARNING :) it could get expensive hahahahaha.
A good 2x72 belt grinder and drill press is a good start and there’s a thing called handsanding witch everyone loves lol.
    That will get you going.
