Hi, My name is Eric, i grew up in New-Brunswick worked in Alberta for couple of years and settle here In Labrador City Being a outdoorsman/hunter I always find myself interested in knives. over the years i have bought some and got some as gifts. Even if most of them as never been used and probably never will, i like all of my knives and would not part from any of them. Im facinated by how many different style of knives there is and how every knife as its own task they excel in. although they are all just a handle and a blade it is amazing how they can all be so much different from one another. I plan on Building my own knives and that is why i joined the forum in the effort of gathering informations and inspiration to start off my knive making journey. over the next couple weeks i hope to be filing on a peice of carbon steel to make my first personal blade by hand. my favorite style of knive are big survival knives and scandinavian knives. i own a Ontario Rat7 and i alway drag that thing around with me when i am outdoors it served me well lots of time and i would say my first knives will be inspired by that knife. looking foward of learning from all of you thanks Eric
