Hello everyone I have been interested in this for years, I just took a course from Neal Ashworth out of Beaverlodge. amazing guy and great teacher. I am going to try to post a pic of my first knife. A razor with G10 scales. After trying to shave with it at 2500grit I now know I need a finer stone to make it shave better... Ouch.

Welcome to the forum. Very nice job on the razor. It's also on my list of to-dos, mostly because it will force me to attempt a hollow grind.

Welcome, for a proper shave ready edge, you'll want to hone it to 8000 grit minimum.

Welcome Brent. Really cool looking razor. I've been wanting to try a friction folder myself. As far as buying tools goes, i'm still doing that myself. I've been at this for about a year and half now. Haven't even scratched the surface as far as tools i need. Of course "need" is a very subjective term....
