Hi all, I teach metalwork and I just got the go ahead to purchase two Bee Grinders, 2HP Variable Speed grinders for my high school shop. I did not buy the stands as I know I can build something better and include storage solutions etc.

I browsed the forum, found lots of grinder builds but not much on stands. I was hoping you could share your stands/benches, and storage solutions etc. I am not sure if I want to mount them both on a single large bench or two smaller stands

    Thanks for the help!!

Hi Sorry I missed this post. I would put each machine on its own stand and give a few feet between them. My stands are cobbled together from scraps of tubing or angle or an old Black & Decker workmate. I always have two wheels on the backside for tilt and move operation. You'll want to be able to move around the machines for cleaning and maintenance so having them spaced apart is really handy. I like the height of the grinder's work area (wheel or platen) to be about elbow height, which means the stands are made for a person my height. This is what I mean by cobbled together. LOL (The middle members in the bottom hold the VFD.)
