Hi everyone, new to the forum and knife making in general. Started about a month ago messing around in the garage now I'm hooked lol. Made a few knives now im in the process of building a grinder. Appreciate any advice I may receive while strolling through the forums.

Welcome to CKM Chris. There are several grinder making threads that should help with a lot of your questions in that.

Had to upload them to imagur. Not sure if i grabbed the right links. Let me know.

This is the first file knife I made for my son that my wife made me round off all the edges after i was finished because she thought he'd cut himself. Just hanging on his wall for now:) DiY micarta handle.[IMG][/IMG]

And then i made this razor for my brother for x-mas out of stainless and some purpleheart/Ash with black and white middle spacer micarta. First try at some file work. Turned out ok.

The file knife looks great. The spinework on the razors is nice as well, but the thickness looks a bit off.

If you want to learn a bit more about razors, there are a few razor guys geting together on Saturday in Edmonton.
