    Hey guys,

I was referred to this site and thought I'd take a look. I currently order in most of my blades, and put on the handle, etc. I make my own bolsters, pommels, and sword hilts (from antler or bone). Just starting to work with pewter casting for decorations.

My shop is primarily a leathersmithing shop but over the years we have diverted over to the weapon side more and more. Exciting times!

I'll have questions as we go and I thank everyone for their response in advance.

    Dan

Well first things first, I thought I'd upload a bunch of photos of stuff I have done. I have made dozens of knives but these are the only ones I have already posted on the internet.

Ask questions or make comments. I'd love to hear em.

    Dan

That is an impressive array of work, Dan. Some nice pieces in there, both the knives and the leatherwork. Once you start making your own blades, it will only get better.

Thanks. BTW - this is the star of a sword I am making. 22" Damascus steel hunting sword blade. I have a mosse antler crown I'll carve into a handle, and I am casting my own crossbar and pommel. I have a picture of the mould for the crossbar here too.

Should I start a new thread? I am going to work on the handle tomorrow I think.
