Hi guys, I am pretty sure that there was already a discussion about this but just cant find it. Now seeing that I don't have any forging experience or equipment to do so. I have been wondering if its possible to create a forged patina on a blade, lets say 01 steel with out upsetting to much the material. Not that I want to pass off a knife as forged, I just really like the ruff look of forged steel and the contras of ruff and mirror finish. Has this been attempted or should I just invest in a forge setup one day. thanks guys for your input.
