Flame thrower

    This part Saturday was our year end meeting and get together. I brought out a new forge burner to test. The problem with these big burners is thying to keep the flame on the end of the burner. It either wanted to burn inside the tube or blow off the end of the nozzle.
    I discovered a solution to the problem by fitting the inside of the burner tube end with a coil spring. Here is a picture of it burning with the regulator cranked up to 35 PSI.

    That is a great photo and an even better looking burner.

    How did you come up with the spring idea? Once you see it, it makes sense. The spring is like adding rifling to the burner.
