Hey folks, so here's my first attempt. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics. Still waiting for my sharpening kit to come in the mail so no secondary bevel yet. It's pretty simple - O1 with black walnut scales. Had to do everything with a hack saw and files. Used a 4" belt sander to rough shape the handles. The shape is something I drew up but I can't really claim it as my design seeing how there's nothing really unique about it. Anyway, as can be expected I learned a lot and had a great time in the bargain. Got two more on the way. Have a great weekend!
That looks like a really good knife...period. For a first attempt, it's bloody fantastic. Great job. Can't wait to see what's next. Are you attempting your first sheath too? Cheers. Gary
Thanks for all the positive feedback, after completing 4 knives I've gotta tell ya I'm hooked. Looking into a 2x72 and an evenheat already.
Thanks, Gary! I've been working on some sheaths too. Really glad to have more reason to work with leather again. I had done some belts and holsters in the past. I put up a couple pics in the leatherwork section. Cheers!
I'm selling a 2x72 grizzly. Very good starter grinder. 800$ with all the belts I own. Shipping extra.
Hey snailgixxer, I just saw this. Wish I'd seen it sooner, I just bought a BEE. Thanks for the offer!
