Fillet Knife

    Another project in the books. This one's going to a friend of mine (for R&D feedback) who catches far more fish than I do.

    CPM 154 and stabilized box elder burl with polished walnut sheath. It's a bit of prototype so there's no hardware. 7" blade length.

    As a bonus, I found the crucible data sheets spot on (within acceptable error), Rc 58 with a 1950 austenize and 400 temper (no cryo). Or maybe my hardness tester is just within acceptable error..hard to say..

    Very nice. CPM154 makes a great blade for a fillet knife.

    Very nice Magnus. I hope your friend will consider tying into a nice large Salmon or Lake Trout, armed with that utensil. Well done.
