Feather Damascus

    Finally got around to making some feather Damascus.
    Should get it heat treated next week and then turn it into some Scandi knives.

    Dan the steel is 15N20 and 1080. I see you have made a forge if you ever need any 15N20 I have a pile of it I will never live long enough to forge it all.

    Thanks Roman,just got to get it on a knife,I am going for cataract surgery in a week so my knife making is going to come to a halt for about a month.

    Absolutely beautiful Damascus, Cal! How long did you etch it to get that contrast to come out so nicely?

    about 15 seconds.
    When it is hardened the final etch will be about 1 hour.
    Here is the final product ready for the handle.
