    Very nice Brad. That burl is darker than the one I am having the dirty trouble with. Is that died maple burl?

    Hmm. I really like it darker like that. That's what I was hoping for when I bought mine.

    Hey man, sometimes the wood gets dark like that if its stabilized with darker woods or if that have been using that patch of resin for a while. That's what I read on WSSI's (I think it was theirs) website a while ago.
