Hey guys, so I had a idea for a carving months ago that I started and never finished. A couple of days ago I was going to the shop and cleaning up when I came across the handle again. Decided Ohhhh what the hell ! knife orders here suck so why not keep busy doing something. so after 3 days of free handing with a Dremel and wood burning pen, I finally completed the dragons head knife or short sword handle. a little bit about this piece, the base I used was a soft wood dowel, at the time not planning on nothing much but wanted something soft to make sculpting easy. Looked at a couple of dragon pictures and drawing on the web and realise that doesn't really mater what the finish product looks like, dragons are mythical so I can choose how mine looks.. :p and off I went. now one of the reason I dint finish this piece sooner is I worked on one side of the sculpting and realize dam! now I got to duplicate that on the other side! now being comfortable yet with my skills I decided to put it down and practice on other stuff. Anyways....sculpting away and using my pyro pen to work the details ( something I realized on the fly) I winded up with this finish product. Ohh and if your wondering about the eyes , they are a old pair of fake earrings from my wife.:D
now the handle completed with no blade to stick in it. so that is why I am offering it to you guys, if anyone is interested in this piece just PM me and we can work out the details.
    cheers

I just started woodcarving so I'm no authority but you seem to be a natural at carving. Do you use handtools or power?

Thank you Todd, well I use a good Dremel and sand paper. well keep in mind I started messing around with special effects make up at the age of 15 and done a lot of casting and clay models so that helped me a lot ….but I am way far from where I want to be in the carving and sculpting world. :(
