I have been very busy the past couple weeks. I have been working on that wedding knife set that I mentioned a while back among many other non knife related things. My garage is more of a mess than ever and I haven't even watched tv at all for well over a week. I had quite a few nights where I didn't get to bed till after 1:00am then going to work for 7:00am and last Thursday I stayed up till just after 4:00am but thankfully had Friday off. Here's what I came up with after all of those crazy hours.

I do wish I had a bit more time because there were still flaws in the finish but they are now with their new owners which are the guys in the wedding party. By the reactions when they and others seen the knives I guess the flaws were more of an annoyance to me than anything else. Even with the tight time frame which was my own fault I am very glad I went for it. I finished the final etching and cleaning the night before I had to give them away. I ordered stencils for the groomsmen and for the best man but I also added stencils for the different blade steel types and even a new more compact mark for myself.

All of the blades are the same but I added nickel silver bolsters for the best man knife. In the end it was definately worth the effort. Thanks for looking and let me know what you guys think.

Wow nice work man. That was a pile of work you put in considering the time frame. I bet all your groomsmen were very happy with those. I also really like how you added the bolster just on the best mans knife, its a nice touch that seperates it from the rest.

Thanks everyone. Now that these are done I can't wait to start working on my first batch again.

I was doubting myself untill I finished etching lol

I was going to do the bolsters on all of the knives and was trying to think of something to make the best mans knife different so I figured cause of the timing I would only add them on the best mans and it would be a good way to make it stand out a bit.

Thanks guys. I hope I don't have to fight time like this again but it will likely happen and I probably won't back down. I guess I like to punish myself. Lol. I hope next time I have a better belt grinder.
