You would think it wouldn't be so hard but I cant find a Canadian based supplier? I guess they all go to the dog chew market sadly lol. I could raid the local petfood store but they charge a premium...

Would like to try a scagel style handle.

    any guidance would be appreciated.

The only way I have been able to source any is from locals who walk the fields in the spring looking for drops and the price is beyond reasonable majority of the time.

Next best way to get them is on a sales page, post up wanted and there are usually one or two mounts people no longer want

Be careful when "buying antler materials" There is a very fine line that's in the grey area of the law about purchasing them. As another poster put foreward the best way is to find someone who shed hunts. This way you can trade or have them gifted to you. Also from what I understand if you change them from their original form they are then considered an art or craft material so it is okay to purchase them. Do some research before you start openly posting about buying antler because you could get into serious trouble.

Antlers harvested off the animal have to have traceability back to the hunting licence or the new owner needs a licence in order to possess was my understanding. Drops are easily distinguished from harvested and there is no issue owning them.

If you are in a high poaching area and someone sells you freshly harvested antlers then you can be in it real deep if you don't call conservation. A copy of the hunters license will give you some protection
