Wow, I am digging the way the orange spacer plays along with the tones in the maple burl. It's great to know that beautiful piece of wood will be around for many years.
And you definitely found much better use for it! This is awesome looking knife! And I agree with Dan that orange G10 goes very well with the burl color. But here is what could be done better: these first three metal spacers do not form smooth round bend, but rather form a kink which makes the last black spacer before G10 look thicker in the middle. Not extremely important, but it caught my eye...
I agree but thin stainless seems to bend different than thicker and after about 4 hours of fitting I decided that close enough was good enough.
