The knife is a hidden tang with a 10-32 bolt silver brazed into a slot on the tang. The butt cap has a 10-32 nut silver brazed to it. Fill the handle with epoxy and screw it together. I have a large angle on this butt cap and it was a real pain because as you tightened the butt cap it tended to lift the front of the knife off the bolster. I worked for over 4 hours trying to get it to work and finally I had to reduce the angle a bit so that when the cap was tightened everything stayed in place.
