Playing with my paracord stitching technique for leather sheaths, I "whipped" this up with a cross stitch pattern to provide a different look and a simple way to form the belt loop with a single stitching process.
Fairly simple technique with minimal tools requires for sheath challenged individuals.
And with that neon orange, your knife should never be out of site for long.

Does the sheath have a welt? I like the look but my only concern would be the knife cutting through the cord without the extra protection added by a welt.

It sure does have a welt. I build all my sheaths with a welt. In this case 9 oz leather is used (same as the sheath).
