Just ordered some more cutlery steel today. Word on the street is that we should see some significant price hikes in US supplied steel. Possibly 50% more. You may want to get your order in while the steel supplier has stock at the old prices. Hopefully this trade war crap goes away soon, but not many folks are counting on it happening any time soon. If it makes any sense, I did get some Japanese steel from a German company, Dictum, a while back. They should theoretically be exempt from the incoming tariffs. And DHL is very efficient for delivery.
Jon, how were the shipping costs from Germany? There should also be some Uddeholm products and the like coming out of Europe that are not affected by the tit-for-tat.
Uderholm and another stainless steel mill have offices and stock in BC and Ontario if memory is right
I just ordered up some CPMS35VN from CKSL and the price hasn't gone up yet. (Unlike gasoline prices. )
