Hey guys! I heard about mixing ferric chloride with water and pooring in some penny (copper) and then dunking your blades in for a couple minutes to give them a golden copper coating?

Anyone ever done that or have heard of it?

Hi have done it by accident while hanging blades in ferric with copper wire. Wetting the blade with ferric and rubbing copper on the wet blade will also work. It doesn't last forever but does give a cool look. Gavko is doing a copper acid stonewash right now that looks great also.
