So I showed off my new acquisition in the "what have you picked up recently?" thread but I just wanted to say thanks to Rob, Grayzer and Metal99 for the advice and show the result. Also I found a bunch of letters stamped in to the anvil and am hoping someone knows what they mean.

I found the letters "EE" on the corner of the base? Could they be the makers initials?

Then of the front, there's a "Z" at the bottom in the middle, any one know the meaning? Then under the word "England" there's a "C" then "Wrought ???" going around the # "2" and then "11"

If any one knows what all that means I'd love to know.
    Cheers

The letters are typically date and batch codes. The c is most likely just part of the original stamping that should fully read Solid Wrought in a circle around the number 2
