Hey guys, haven't posted much here in a bit... but I keep start projects and not finishing them! Here's a repo of a sword from the castillon hoard, it's about a close as I could make it with getting to handle the real thing. Falchions are single edge swords that dont get much attention, blades 77.5 cm 30 1/2" overalls 94.5 cm 37 1/4" Weights only 1001 grams, 2 lbs 3 oz. and balances really nicely People always seem to get a bit of a kick outta my testing methods after heat treat! Let me know what you guys think, I really gotta take the time to make a light box one of these days...
That's a great piece, Mike! By the way, what do you use for heat treating your swords. I'd love a picture or three of your setup.
