Had a stand set up for the Dragon Fly festival this past Saturday at Wabamum AB. 1st of 2 knives sold was one that I thought I might keep for myself and then I realized I didn't have a photo of it so I took a quick one. 27 layers of 5.5 oz twill CF each side. I made three, one I screwed up and had to tear the handles off, one went to a friend and this one has a new owner. I had some CF left over from another project so I thought I'd play with it. Really nice reflections come out of the handle when you look at it from different angles. CPM154, stainless pins. Picture from when I was just setting things up. Have never done anything like this before, was open for about 5 hours and got a few custom orders lined up.
Hey sorry I missed this. Very nice setup. You did some stabilizing demo on the side there? Cool and very nice CF knives and sheathes. Dan
Very cool, I’d like to be able to fill a table one day at a local event. I hope it was a good experience!
Griff it was the first time for me. Hot day and had to keep pulling the tables back under the tent as the sun moved, knives were getting really hot in the sun. I explained stabization about 50 times, when they find out it's the same stuff used for hip and knee replacements they get really interested. I made 2 stabilized knifeblocks which I will start a thread on so you can see them, 1 from the punky poplar log with fungus on it on the right of the table, I think I will title it "how to use 2/3 of a gallon of stabilizer in one shot".
