Anyone have any sources for 1075, 108x, 1095? I know knifemaker.can has some but their selection is limited.

I've been trying to find other suppliers of high carbon steel for the past year in the Toronto/GTA area and have checked a dozen or so with no luck. I have found one place that sells W1 drill rod but they have a minimum order $ amount and I just haven't gotten around to getting some. What are of Canada are you in and looking around?

I really don't care, if they ship. I just don't want to pay the huge shipping and handling from the states. I can find tool steels but no 10xx series carbon steel.

I have had the same luck. As in none... Numerous places to get O1,W1 drill rod and 5160. But no luck for 10 series. I have a place checking into W1 flat but haven't heard back yet.

Tony if knifemaker doesn't have what you are looking for in stock contact Rob or give him a call... "Usually" he is able to order your request it's just the stuff in stock he has waterjeted for the shelf. I always get him 2 order large sheets of stainless for me over and above his normal stock. Hope this is of some help.

I've gotten 52100 and o1 from Reliable Steel Traders near Vancouver. And they've treated me really well when I went in. They sell 1060, D2, D3, so might be able to bring in some other stuff.
