Hello everyone , Im new to this site, and new to metal forging and knife making . working along side of my buddy who has knowledge in this art of knife making, I'm excited to get started and try to make a Damascus knife. I will post a few photos once we get started and a see how thing go.. This new press I built is a 22ton , 5hp 1stage 10.9gpm 2nd stage 2.9. 52 hours into building this press so hopeully she works good ..
I Thomas, I use dropshots as a free picture hosting site...upload the picture to the site...view it in your gallery and right click to copy, then come back to the forum and in your post chose the picture icon beside the smiley face in the task bar and paste the link....voila!
[/IMG] Hello, Having another issue , I uploaded my pictures, click on picture and then copy picture to clipboard , however when I try and add the link from clipboard it will not work . Not sure way it won' copy ..? https://www.dropshots.com/Marshallthomas2017/date/2017-12-29/20:53:14 Any thoughts
if you use dropshot, I put my curser over the picture and right click and select copy....I don't use the links offered on the right side...they don't work on the forum for some reason. once back on the forum I just paste to image url box in the image icon.
Dam you got enough steel in that thing to make 10 presses. Here is the press and rolling mill I made about 10 years ago.I have a pile of pictures and a complete write up until good old PHOTO BUCKET screwed everything up last year. Anyway hare are a few pictures. 6 inch bore ,3 inch rod right now can press 30 tons, can be set higher but no need to.
Hello, What a nice build, very nice job. And that roller press is well built ! Looks like it works Well.. Thanks for the pictures ..
