If I'm not mistaken, there is a KBC tools in the lower mainland. They carry O1 and A2 from Starrett. I've never seen their store, but their catalog carries it in all the sizes...

I can't say enough about the folks at knifemaker.ca. The prices are good and even with the mail charge it isn't unreasonable. Excellent customer service helps as well.

For 5160 call or email http://www.mcallisterind.com/

$5 a pound and they have .262 is various widths. Might be too thick for some people, but worth knowing.

I just spoke with Jason @ Independent Specialty Steels and they are shutting down Dec 31 2017, but the
good news is Jason has bought all of the inventory and will be opening up his own steel supply business. It will be on the
Surrey/Langley border and says he will start to cater more to us knife makers...

Thompson Metals should be open Jan 01 2018 if all goes well. Lets support him as he is trying to work with us and
is a easy guy to talk to...

    Cheers
    Bill
