    Another beauty Cal. Nailed the joint perfectly. I am on the lookout for some maroon Micarta now. :)

    I have always liked the maroon micarta but it was so expensive I never used it, about $30.00 for a set of scales (why I don't know). Last year I bought every piece that Sheffield's in Florida had for a good lot price for 15 sets of scales.
    It was still about twice the price you pay for ordinary micarta but it really gives a knife that ROYAL look.

    Wow, I really like the etch you get on your san mai pieces. And is that dovetail radiused?
