Finishing up another chef's knife. It's made from my KN45 pattern from 3/32" AEB-L. The handle is from a block of stabilized Masur Birch from the Kirelian Republic. The bolster and butt are 304 stainless with a slice of synthetic jade in the front there. I tried to take some pics outside in the evening light. Thanks for looking! Dan
Oh man. Wear did you buy that birch from. I'm absolutely in love with that grain pattern. Sweet knife Dan.
Thanks Todd. I bought a couple of blocks from a guy on eBay in Russia who goes by Stabwood Lab. It is truly beautiful wood. I'll put up some photos in better light. Dan
Now you're just showing off Some fine craftmanship there Dan, knocking it out of the park on all your finished knife posts man, wonderful!
Yeah really. I'm still self conscious about even posting pics and guys like Dan and Kevin are cranking out works of art daily... sigh... one day : )
