Hey guys, just a couple of simple users here. No fine finishing, just a scotchbrite belt and handled sanded to 320 an buffed up a bit. They are both in 1/8 1084. The smaller one has some spare diamond wood and the leanest edge geometry I have tried to date, it's a tester that went to a local trapper to beat up for me. He is going to give it a go and see what he thinks of the design and performance. The larger is a type of bushcrafter drop point hunter type knife with some vintage butterscotch colored micarta. I like the micarta and it seems to be somewhere between modern linen and canvas as far as the material weave used. Again comments or criticism welcomed.

They look good. I really like the look of that micarta, too.

I like simple finishes like this. They make you want to use them for real work. If it's too shiny, I have a hard time making those first marks on it.

Thanks guys. On the topic of that micarta, it has all kinds of inclusions in it. I don't mean voids at all, as its perfectly sound, it just doesn't have the perfection of color that new stuff does. It contains various small flecks of other colors, mainly black, red and dark brown. I actually like it since each handle is different every time I use it. I was not sure what I would do with that one but the old lady decided to cut up a large roaster of barbecue beef with it, and the sauce and meat combo gave it a pretty colourful and heavy patina, which I actually like. It has some golds, bronze, blues and purples, so I am going to slap together a sheath and it will be my new personal carry hunter.
