If you want stainless knife steel in Winnipeg, you have to get it shipped. Unless you want to order it by the ton, then Ryerson could probably help you. Canadian Knifemaker Supply has it, but Tim, above, looks like he's offering a pretty good price. Got anything else for half price, Tim? Magnus
I have a couple of skids of brand new still in the box 24 in circular saw blades that were used as trim saws in a local saw mill.......i have made tons of knives from this material with great sucess......i even use it with 15n20 for layer damascus......there is over 3000# of this so good deals abound......I also have a huge supply of sperm whale teeth with papers......pre cities treaty......3 to 5 in long that make wonderful handles.......I sold these for years at $20 per ounce i am clearing them out at 10$ per oz.......i have a huge inventory of kydex in white color.....it dyes great to any color you want.....$3 per square foot....there is a lifetime of exotic wood collecting that needs to be spread around.......I am 68 years old and i have made knives for 50 years and collected materials all the way thru.....i probably have enough material for 20 guys to make knives for life.....anybody travelling thru thunder bay this year should stop in ......i am going to continue to make knives and teach bladesmithing as long as i can but there is way too much material for my lifetime.....i have no idea how to post pictures on this site but if you send me cell # i can text pics of anything you want......some blacksmith equip also.....call me 807-627-5086
@tmr This is great to know, sadly I’m not sure if anyone will be able to pass through anywhere this summer lol...the jury is still out on this Virus and summer as it’s thriving in other warm countries with high humidity just fine! Even if this virus were to bugger off, Sadly Thunderbay is still a 14 hr plus drive both ways for me lol! hey guys I just seen 1/8 by 2 440c at canadian knifemaker supply at over $36 a foot.......my 5/32 by 2 is only $15 /ft........time to stock up
