Anyone had any experience with 3M Trizact belts? I am looking at a case of 50 on Amazon.ca for just over $1 a belt with free shipping. If they are worth that, if even for roughing handles, I'll take a case. I have no experience with Trizact.

Amazon.ca search for '69087', should be 4 left. Of course if they are all gone tomorrow and no one replies I'll know that's a good deal! LOL

I just got some a while back to try out. I haven't used them much yet but so far I love them. They are not a roughing belt but work nice for semi finishing. ... for me anyways.

If they are the trizact cf or "gator" belts at that price it's a steal. They are amazing belts in my experience, and have an incredible lifespan. Pretty much the only belt I will use above 220 grit. Far better than the norax in my opinion. Very nice even scratch patter and last forever. I have a 400 grit equivalent gator that has done at least 15 knives.

Edit. I see they are standard trizacts not the cf gators so I have not used those ones. Just be aware of the grit equivalent system as an A110 is about 150 grit if I recall correctly. That said if you can use that many belts it's a great price. I would assume the glue joints will go bad before you use them all up so you could always buy the batch, keep what you need, and sell the rest to recover your cost.

I'm noticing the same thing Grayzer said but I haven't used them very much yet so I'm glad he was able to confirm my thoughts. I just recently bought the 150g equivalent to try out.

UPDATE: I bought a case of these belts on Sunday. There were 4 available.
Received email indicating shipped on Monday.
Order refunded on Tuesday as apparently goods were "damaged in the warehouse."
Checked stock, currently unavailable. Someone goofed.
I was hoping this wasn't too good to be true, but I guess it was.

    Caveat emptor!
