I hand sand all my blades to 600gr . I'll go up to 800gr straight pulls then back down to 600gr.I find I get a better finish that way. This one just went to 600gr because it's mine and it will life a ruff life.
Lol will I wish I had a different way to but hand sanding it is . I kinda enjoy doing the handsanding it when you can see your blade come to life .
I saw a home made affair that was a piece of sandpaper mounted on a block and a saws-all or something providing the back and forth motion. Wishing I kept the book mark now because it was a simple solution to the hand sanding yet accomplished the same thing mechanically.
Check this out John. I had gone searching for something similar a while back and found this: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3549328
Here's another: http://www.homedepot.com/p/ReciproT...r-for-Reciprocating-Saws-RCT-SDP-10/204248375 These aren't specifically for sanding but still pretty cool: http://www.popularmechanics.com/hom...ting-saw-accessories-you-should-own-16074749/
The brown handled one in the middle is my favourite. THey're all amazing but that one seems to pop for me. Awesome knives. As usual...
