Been playing with this thing for a while-bought a used 2x i beleive 24 combo grinder and have been converting it into a machine i can run 2x72 or any belt down to 1x42.built a receiver that slides and machined a 4"idler that takes a common 6202 bearings.tracks really nice just underpowered as it only has a 1/3 horse motor.Am adapting a 1 hp motor to drive a pair of step-pulleys on it,nice thing is it swivels to just about any position i want.

Nice! Did you buy the wheels or salvage them from other equipment?

interesting I like it , have you thought of a hinge mounted to the top of your stand to make it horizonatl as well ? throw on a small wheel attachment with the motor you have already have would be perfect for those jobs , cool find !!

the main drive wheel and tracking wheel were part of the origional grinder-the other one was machined-been thinking of a way to run a small wheel attachment but want to get it running and tracking good first.also need to cut the stand down as it is too high
