10" Damascus Bowie

    Here's what I have so far, 10" total with 4 1/4" handle and 5 1/2" blade with some filework, mosaic pins and nickel silver bolsters. Have yet to sharpen and make a sheath for it.

    Very nice Steve! My dad had a homemade hunting knife with red scales, what are these scales made from? I like the file work.......what fills the space between the tang and the scales where the material has been removed?

    Thanks, the scales are acrylics and the spaces between the filework are filled with a black Devcon two part steel epoxy that comes with steel shavings in it that way it dries to steel hard and you can sand, tap or drill it if you wanted to and it stays put...lol!!!

    Nice one Steve! That damascus pattern is quite "loud" so the bright scales balance it off really well.

    Thanks Myth I think it turned out fairly well it was a chore to try and hide the bolster pins didn't realize how dull my bit was until it was too late and had the speed wobble...lol!!!

    thanks metal, I wish I made the Damascus but not till I get a power hammer...lol!!!

    Thanks SRG one of these days I would like to try out some stainless damascus I just need some buddy willing to foot the bill first...lol!!! Look forward to seeing some of your work!!!
