My take on the classic #1 belt knife with the flat grind option. This one is made from AEB-L 1/8" stock and features stainless pins, thong tube on 'Cocobolo' Dymalux laminate. 8" overall with a 3.5" cutting edge. The flat grind option doesn't seem to be as popular as the regular grind, but it comes with what I think is a nicer spine taper. Thanks for looking, Dan
Ya, they are definitely finding their way into the American psyche. I guess once the bushcrafting folks learn of the Nessmuk and its ovoid blade shape, they see the Grohmanns as an attractive range of knives.
Little green brother. This is a variation on the belt knife design; smaller radius finger choil and overall smaller with a wee 2-1/2" of cutting edge. This one in 154CM with dyed green curly maple and some brass bits and pieces. Dan
Nicely done. Definitely on my build list but I'm also partial to making a version of the #3 also as the issued belt knife of the Canadian Army for ages.
