Keeping the momentum going, took my piece of 01 and went at it today after work. I'm quite pleased with the progress today. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to put a set of scales on it or not but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I'm happy with the shape but I will probably slim down the handle. It's comfortable in the hand so far. Next is to polish it up nice and shiny. The spine is only 1/8" thick, not sure how that will affect the sharpening angle but a layer or more of tape when honing should make up for that if necessary. But again, that's a much later stage. I used a 6" grinding wheel at work, not sure what kind of wheel but it did the trick. Keeping the grind nice and even when I go to finish it is going to be tough
