Look what I came across today it is a mandrel bar that holds three buffing wheels. Needs a 1/2 horsepower lathe minimum.

    Thoughts and opinions?

Totally new idea to me but the space savings over having two buffing machines seems like a good idea.
Variable speed might be helpful but not sure it is really needed.

Very popular with pen turners and pipe makers. I think it'd be easy to make with some ready rod. Crappy tire sells a small bench top lathe that's variable speed and 1/2hp. Goes on sale for around $100, regular $250.

I have some aluminum tube and threaded rod in my assorted corner. Probably have the washers and nuts as well so I think I will hack one together and use the lathe a neighbor dropped off.

It will work or you may start calling my stumpy :roflmao

It might work for pens but knives wheels are way to close together in my opinion.

Little while ago I was thinking one wheel can really toss a blade, with three wheels could probably hit the neighbors house
